Remembrance Sunday 2017

This year a number of staff and children from school joined together to take part in the Heybridge Parish Council Remembrance Parade and the laying of a poppy wreath.

Despite the chilly weather a large number of children and their parents turned out, all looking very smart in their school uniform.

It was a honour to be able to be part of such a moving and emotive ceremony and to witness all of our children conduct theirselves with a huge amount of dignity, pride and respect.

Recently the children have spent time in school learning about the importance of this act of remembrance and how the poppy has become such a significant sympbol.
