Heybridge Primary was inspected on 7th and 8th June 2016 by Ofsted. We are very pleased to be able to announce that:
'Heybridge Primary is a GOOD school'
The judgements are as follows:

‘Pupils’ achievement has improved since the previous inspection.’
Early years provision is GOOD
‘Children’s attitude to learning are positive. Each day they arrive keen and eager to find out what interesting activities await them.’
‘Good leadership of early years provision meets the needs of all children.’
Overall effectiveness is GOOD
‘Heybridge Primary School is a good school. It has improved rapidly since the last inspection. The weaknesses identified then have been tackled quickly and effectively’
We want to publically thank every member of the school community for their support and belief in the school. This is the culmination of two years of hard work, determination and belief that we could and have achieved the official recognition of being a GOOD school.
Every child, parent, member of staff, governor, TKAT and the immediate and wider Heybridge community should rightly be proud of their part in securing GOOD.
In order to achieve our ambition of Outstanding Ofsted have left us the following areas too focus on:
‘Teaching is not of a universally high standard in all classes’
‘Foundation subject leaders are yet to make significant impact on standards in their subjects’
‘The school does not give parents the information they need to be full and active parents in aspects of their children’s learning’
We have planned for how we will build upon the already GOOD practice in place to make these areas even stronger and look forward to sharing this with you in the new academic year.
Please enjoy reading the report and if there is any part of it you would like to comment on please feel free to speak to myself or Mrs Nunn on the gate in the morning or make an appointment via the school office.
Next stage – OUTSTANDING!

Ofsted has introduced an online questionnaire called Parent View
This is a way of telling Ofsted what you, our Parents and Carers think about your child’s school. Parent View asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of your child’s school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour.
Your views allow the Headteacher and Governors to regularly monitor how Parents and Carers see our School and helps Inspectors form an accurate picture of how the School is performing. Please do take advantage of this opportunity. By sharing your views, you’ll be helping your child’s school to improve. You will also be able to see what other parents have said about your child's school and any school in England.
