Year 6 love Liddington

Our Year 6 children set out from school on Monday 20th June for a fun packed adventure at PGL Liddington.  They faced their fears and took on challenges they wouldn't normally have the opportunity to do.

For some, it was the first  time they have stayed away from home and for others, it was a welcome break without Mum or Dad!  The biggest challenge for some was the thought of spending 3 days without WIFI or access to the internet!!!

They arrived just before lunchtime and, after refuelling with a packed lunch, kicked off the afternoon activities with the giant swing, abseiling, and fencing.  After an extremely busy afternoon, the children enjoyed pasta for dinner and finished the day with a team quiz.

The children woke to sunshine on Tuesday morning and after a very hearty breakfast continued with the activities which included the vertical challenge, open canoeing and archery.  A few of the children even had an early bath when they fell into the lake whilst canoeing!!

After dinner on day two, the children had the opportunity to visit the shop on site to buy gifts and treats before getting their dancing shoes on for the evening disco.

Most of the children needed more than a little encouragement waking on the third and final day, but after another plentiful breakfast were soon off quad biking and enjoying their final session in Liddington.

The coach set of homeward bound after lunch and the children were arrived back to school just after 5pm.  The children and staff were all worn out after such a busy, fun and activity packed trip, and all looking forward to a hot bath, dinner and bed!

Every single child returned with  un-forgettable memories and stories to share with their families. They each have a different highlight from the trip but the overwhelming feedback from the children was how amazing it was and how, if given the opportunity, they would all love to do it again.
