Personal Development

At Heybridge Primary School, personal development is a cornerstone of our educational philosophy, designed to broaden students' horizons beyond the standard curriculum. Each term, we offer a diverse array of clubs that cater to various interests, from arts and sports to science and technology.

Our school vegetable garden provides hands-on learning experiences about nature and sustainability. We organise class trips to exciting destinations, invite visitors to share their expertise and engage with our local community to bring real-world learning into the classroom. To support and celebrate our students' growth, each child receives a personal development backpack. This backpack helps them to recognise their achievements, encouraging active participation in personal development and health opportunities, ensuring they thrive both academically and personally.
