Welcome to Heybridge Primary School
We are really proud of our school and its pupils. At Heybridge we provide the tools for our children to have successful futures. We aim to develop in every child the behaviours to become lifelong learners and open their eyes to possibilities.
This term, Year 1 have been learning all about old and new toys 🧸🪀 To finish our topic, the children took part in a History toy workshop! In the morning, the children explored a range of traditional toys, discovering how they worked, what materials they were made from and comparing them to the toys we play with today. In the afternoon, the children became toy makers themselves, creating a variety of different toys including spinning tops, boats and clay models. Year 1 have been learning all about the British Royal Family 🇬🇧, To celebrate the end of our topic, we invited our families into school for a ‘royal tea party’. Together, we decorated royal-themed artwork and designed some truly delicious biscuits fit for a king or queen. 🍪✨👑 #heybridgeprimaryschool #tkat #onetkatfamily

🌟 Asteroid Class 🌟 After finishing their History topic, Year 2 had the wonderful experience of taking part in a Great Fire of London workshop! In the morning, we became apprentices from 1666, working on the streets of London and learning skills such as leatherworking, metalworking, sewing, and even making medicines. 👩🏭🧵⚒️💊 In the afternoon, after a quick science experiment and once the fire had been put out, we excavated what was left of the houses. We discovered clues about the people who lived there before the fire, helping the city begin the process of rebuilding. 🕵️♂️🏚️🔥 #heybridgeprimaryschool #tkat #onetkatfamily

We are thrilled to announce that Heybridge Primary School has been awarded the Music Mark of Recognition Award by Essex Music Services! This prestigious award acknowledges our commitment to providing high-quality music education for our students. 🎶🎤🎸 Over the past year, our children have enjoyed a variety of musical experiences, including music workshops with Essex Music Services, performances by our Rock Steady Bands, and the continued success of our choir. The choir has performed at numerous events such as Christmas Light Switch-Ons, the Junior Music Festival in June, as well as Remembrance and VE Day ceremonies. Looking ahead, we are excited to continue integrating music into both our academic and Personal Development curriculum, ensuring our students have even more opportunities to engage with and benefit from music education.

Have you ever wanted to be in your very own rock band? 🎸 🥁 Here at Heybridge Primary School we offer weekly Rock Steady sessions!
