To celebrate our beautiful new History timeline wall art, a gigantic dinosaur roared his way into classes today, surprising all our children. Beginning with the Mesozoic era of the dinosaurs, the display takes us on a fascinating journey through time, right up to the Modern age and the Artemis ll space mission. It was truly magical to see the looks on the children’s faces when the purple T-Rex poked his face around the corner and let out a mighty roar. There were gasps, giggles and wide eyes all round (and that was just Year 6)! Our new wall art will help children see how history connects across the ages, making learning feel exciting and memorable. A huge thank you to our fabulous PTFA, who work so hard at school events to raise money for wonderful projects like this. Their support helps stimulate curiosity and brings our curriculum to life.

Year 3 visited Chelmsford Museum for an engaging and hands on learning experience. During a workshop led by museum staff, the children explored artefacts from the Stone Age to the Iron Age, created their own bracelets and wicker baskets and even learnt how to chisel different materials. They then toured the museum, making meaningful connections between their classroom learning and the historical exhibits. It was a memorable day that brought their History learning to life. 💭✨

Year 6 had the wonderful opportunity to explore the nature and wildlife of our local area on Thursday, enjoying a beautiful walk along the canal to Heybridge Basin. The children loved spotting the different wildlife they had researched in their geography lessons. Using their geographical knowledge, they were able to discuss the terrain and the locations of landmarks such as Osea, Northey Island, and the statue of Brithnoth. A fabulous day was had by all. Well done, Year 6! 🌷🌿✨
